Join us in Calvert City, KY, on the Tennessee River for a magical evening Buck Moon Paddle on Thursday, July 10, as the summer sky welcomes the spectacular full “Buck Moon.” This moon earned its name from the annual antler growth of male deer (bucks), marking a time of natural renewal and vitality. Rising low on the horizon, the moon will appear stunningly large and bathed in warm light thanks to the classic "moon illusion"—best experienced from open water. Glide under moonlight, soak in reflections on the river, and celebrate this seasonal milestone in connection with nature. All paddlers—regardless of experience—are welcome. A limited number of kayaks and PFDs are available for free use and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t miss this chance to paddle under a luminous summer moon and deepen your bond with the river.
