2026 Guided Kayak Paddle on the Tennessee River

  • Point Mallard Park 2901 Point Mallard Dr SE Decatur, AL, 35601 United States (map)

Experience the Tennessee River from the best seat in the house, on the water.

Join us for a guided kayak paddle at Point Mallard Park as we explore one of North Alabama’s most scenic waterways while celebrating the natural beauty that makes Decatur such a special place to get outside.

We’ll gather at 9:00 AM at the Decatur Hike-Bike Way Trailhead Pavilion, where participants will check in before launching onto the water for a relaxed, scenic paddle along the Tennessee River. Along the way, paddlers will experience the incredible landscapes that connect our community to the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge, the Tennessee RiverLine, and our growing regional trail systems.

This event is designed to be a welcoming outdoor experience for anyone who loves nature, water, and exploring the river that defines our region.
