Walk in the footsteps of history on Saturday, September 20 during the Trail of Tears Support and Hike Along the River. Beginning at the Bridgeport Depot Museum walking along the Bridgeport Walking Trail and extending 3–5 miles along the River Mont Cave Trail, this guided hike offers participants a reflective journey through one of the region’s most culturally significant corridors. The event honors the resilience of Indigenous communities and the lasting importance of these landscapes. Interpretive stops will highlight both natural features and historical context. Comfortable walking shoes and water are recommended. Open to all ages.
